Starting January 2010, www.chicgiraffe.com (The Consignee) accepts NEW or GENTLY USED apparel and accessories for consignment. The items for consignment range from mid to high-end designers and include but are not limited to:
Mid-end: DKNY, BCBG, Theory, Tahari, Liz Claiborne, Lacoste, Juicy Couture, Aqua, Calvin Klein, etc.
High-end: Gucci, Versace, DVF, LV, Alice and Olivia, Vera Wang, Bottega Venetta, Dior, Lacroix, Gaultier, Lauren, Cartier, Tiffany's, Burberry, Ferragamo, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, etc.
Terms & Conditions
1. The consignment term begins from the date of consignment items and/or photos receipt by the Consignee.
2. Consignment posting is FREE of CHARGE for 1 year, after which additional posting time is available for purchase.
3. All consignments may be subject to a price reduction at the discretion of the Consignee and in accordance with our corporate policy: 90 days (3 months) - items are marked down 20%
180 days (6 months) - items are marked down 50%
270 days (9 months) – items are placed on clearance and marked down 30%
365 days (1 year) - unsold items are delisted from the website unless additional listing time is acquired
4. The Consignee agrees to use its best efforts to sell the goods for cash for the benefit of the Consignor and to account to the Consignor for such sales within the 48 HOURS. The proceeds less commission, will be delivered to the Consignor via Paypal online payment system or official U.S. bank money order on the 15TH OF EVERY MONTH for the items sold the previous month.
5. Consignment payment will be voided SIX MONTHS after agreement expiration.
6. The Consignee agrees to accept its commission, in full payment for its performance under this agreement, an amount equal to 50% of the gross sales price of the goods, exclusive of any sales tax.
7. Any goods the Consignee is unable to sell may be 1) returned to the Consignor at the expense of the Consignor 2) left at the store once additional listing time is acquired at the rates set forth in the Terms and Conditions 3) donated to the Salvation Army. Donation receipts available upon request.
8. The Consignor may reclaim unsold goods at any time.
9. Consignor must pick up all unsold consignments within three (3) months from the date of consignment period end (generally 1 year) or renew for another period. All unsold consignments not reclaimed up after the end of the contract period will, without further notice, automatically become property of the Consignee.
10. The Consignee assumes no responsibility for the loss or destruction of any item.
11. The Consignee reserves the right to deny consignment for any reason.
12. Renewability: This Consignment Agreement is renewable after 1 YEAR. Additional posting time can be purchased at the below rates:
$20 per week
$65 per month
$150 per 3 months
$240 per 6 months
$350 per 1 year
